His younger brother Jaxon hasn't been subtle about pressuring Garyn to relinquish his claim to the throne.

Pierrhos has intentionally withheld his decision to name a successor, instead manipulating his sons and daughters to compete against one another to see who he deems most worthy.

Notes: Tannin is not of royal blood, and was hand-chosen by the former queen to rule in her stead due to Tannin's remarkable prowess in combat and leadership qualities. She was formerly the captain of the guard, and taught many of the young recruits. Tannin continues to teach, and is one of the leading developers of Shade Academy. She is good friends with King Garyn of Vale.

His goal is to oversee the destruction of the four kingdoms and to accelerate the extermination of humankind save for himself and his followers so that they may rule Remnant in peaceful harmony with the Grimm. He detests hunters and strives to assassinate every last one of them.
